Cheese and Jam French Toast

Ingredients

1 loaf of  bread 
1 cup milk
1 egg
jam
cheese (grated and small chunks)
sugar
butter for frying

Method

Mix the milk, sugar and egg in a flat bowl and set aside. Make a jam-cheese three-layered sandwich by applying jam and cheese on alternate slices of bread. Press the sandwich to make sure the cheese doesn't fall out of it.  Prepare all the sandwiches likewise and keep ready for frying.

Now put the frying pan on medium heat with a small blotch of butter. Dip the sandwich in the milk-egg-sugar mixture till the bread soaks up some of it. Shallow fry the sandwiches in the butter making sure both the sides are well toasted. Then remove the toasts on tissue paper to remove excess butter and serve hot with more jam or cheese chunks.... !!
